Our -at Word Writing Activity

To encourage our little ones to continue in their writing and reading, we have read books that dealt with the -at word family. Some of the books that we have used are:

After reading, we made our own list of -at words and the children came out with a lot. We read it everyday during carpet time to let the children gain confidence in reading and understanding the words. We even talked about the different meanings of the words (e.g., bat - an animal that flies at nighttime but it is not a bird, cat - a favourite pet in some families, etc.)

Afterwhich, we wrote our own stories to come out with our fourth mini-book that deals with the -at word. Please find the pages of our little ones writing their own stories.

It's always a pleasure to do these mini-books! A pdf file of the mini-book will be emailed to the parents.

We hope you enjoyed it!
